Immigration law is a combination of naturalization and citizenship matters. The law includes national statutes, regulations, and legal precedents governing immigration into and deportation from a country. Some countries are very strict on their Immigration rights (Exiting and Entering the country as well as internal rights of living). 

The immigration laws also cover, the right to be involved in commerce or government, and the freedom of movement. In the US immigration laws are straightforward. 

According To The United States Nationality Law 

  • You can hold the citizenship after 5 years of permanent residence.  
  • According to the Refugee Act under the immigration laws, refugees can be removed as a preference category and established criteria for their admission.
  • The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, created the basic structure of immigration law in the United States. 
  • The immigration act of 1917, increased the TAX paid by new immigrants and maintained the literacy rate for immigrants over 16 years old. 
  • According to the Immigration Reform And Control Act of 1986, it is illegal to hire unauthorized immigrants in the United States. 
  • A new quota was introduced by the Jhonson-Reed Act/The National Origins Act of 1924.
